Every business should have a value proposition. It helps deliver a clear message to your potential customers who are visiting your site. If your value proposition works it will help turn your traffic into potential leads as they will more than likely stick around. You should be careful not to have a slogan as your value proposition. You are not trying to sell to your customer you are trying to help them. Try not to use superlatives that will over hype or business jargon that will confuse.
What does a Value Proposition look like?
A Value Proposition often has a Title, a subheading or a few sentences, bullet points summarising your key features and a relevant image. As long as your value proposition features all of the above then you are heading in the right direction. If potential customers are reading your proposition and taking a while to understand what you are offering then your proposition isn’t quite working. You can check your current value proposition by asking yourself some questions and seeing if it answers all of the questions.
The main question you should be trying to answer is: What is the end benefit of using your product or service?
What makes your product or service different to your competitors?
A booster is something you can add to help persuade the buyer to choose you. You will see boosters all the time on websites you visit. They can be anything from Free Delivery, Free gift on orders over £x, Free installation you get the idea. Make sure to display this booster clearly and close to the Value Proposition.
